1. English Building Markets* — English Building Markets is a vintage department store with over 4,000 square feet of carefully curated displays – they’ve got anything from furniture and housewares to clothing and fabric. 2. Atticus Bookstore* — Atticus is an independent bookstore and café that has been part of New Haven history for 30 years! If your mom is a fan of a good read and a delicious sandwich, she’ll LOVE Atticus. You don’t have to feel obligated to pick out the perfect book for mom either; they sell gift certificates over the phone or at the café.

3.The Shops at Yale — If you have an entire day dedicated to finding mom the perfect gift, there’s no better place to go than The Shops at Yale. There are over 50 unique boutiques and shops that make up The Shops at Yale – conveniently located on Chapel Street and Broadway! 4. The Wine ThiefMom deserves wine, don’t you think?! The Wine Thief is THE place to go for the finest wine, specialty beer and premium spirits in New Haven. The Wine Thief is consistently voted “New Haven’s Best Wine Shop” and has a very approachable staff ready to help you pick out the perfect bottle for mom. 5. Knit New Haven — For those of you who have moms who like to knit, Knit New Haven will be paradise! Knit New Haven has New Haven’s largest selection of yarn, knitting accessories and spinning supplies. If you’re not a knitting fanatic like mom, they have a very nice and knowledgeable staff that can assist you.
