More Cheese, Please.
If you’ve read our Craft Guide to New Haven, you know that we’ve discovered THE place in New Haven if you’re a cheese-a-holic: Caseus Fromagerie and Bistro. Whether you’re a fan of bleu, cheddar, aged, Swiss or all of the above – there’s something for every cheese-head here (except for the Packers game, GO PATRIOTS!).
Caseus has Connecticut’s most diverse and detailed selection of artisan cheeses, Spanish charcuterie, English preserves, antibiotic/hormone-free meats, spices and salts. But that’s not all! Caseus’ bistro has a delicious menu, including panini pressed sandwiches, prepared Epicurean salads and locally made baked goods. I know, I know, you’re probably wondering how it could get any better…
Three words: The Cheese Truck. That’s right, there’s a food truck driving around New Haven full of cheese! Don’t just take our word for it, though. Here’s a word or two from some Yelpers that agree:
“Why mince words? Caseus is the best restaurant in New Haven. One of the best in all of Connecticut, for that matter, and I’ve spent quite a bit of time living here.” ~Greg S.
“We were pretty floored by our Sunday brunch experience.” ~Caroline M.
“Caseus is a highly recommended New Haven eatery for one great reason: say cheese!” ~Suzanne B.
“This is a cheese lover and food lover’s paradise!” ~Jason S.
And the icing on the (cheese)cake is that Caseus is less than a mile away from Winchester Lofts! So, if you’re looking to move to New Haven, you may want to consider living near the best cheese shop the state has to offer. You can also explore the Winchester Lofts neighborhood and see what other gems are within just a few miles of our New Haven apartments.
