What: Winchester Lofts Art Gallery Event

When: Wednesday, September 17th, 2014, from 6-8pm

Where: Reynolds Fine Art Gallery located at 96 Orange Street, New Haven, CT 06510

Why: Photographer Ramsey Bakhoum and sculptor Susan Clinard have created some amazing work paying tribute to the historic beauty of the Winchester Lofts building pre-renovations!

As you’ve probably heard, the building that is now Winchester Lofts was once the Winchester Repeating Arms Factory. The historic building (that has been around since the 1800’s!) was abandoned and broken down when we got our hands on it. There was so much authentic beauty in the broken windows and crumbling walls that we had to document it before we started the renovations. We called in photographer Ramsey Bakhoum, who came in and took some amazing photographs of the building which we can’t wait to share with you in September.

Also part of the art gallery show is sculptor Susan Clinard, who took actual old materials found in the Winchester Repeating Arms Factory and created two amazing pieces. The photo below is a sneak peek at an unfinished piece that will be on display at the event in September.
